Jack Crawford Jr.
Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Crawford is a Sacramento native who started one of the first Internet Service Provider
companies in Sacramento. Through the 1990's, Mr. Crawford secured his reputation as a serial
entrepreneur by founding three more software companies. His efforts were recognized in 2000
when he was chosen as Entrepreneur of the Year by the PBS television show called
The Money Hunt. In 2000, he focused his energy on venture capital and in 2005 launched
Velocity Venture Capital providing investments for companies in the greater Sacramento region.
Mr. Crawford has long-standing relationships within the region and has served on the board
of the Sacramento Area Regional Technology Alliance and Sacramento Area Commerce and Trade
Organization, written for Comstock's Business Magazine on technology investing and has been a
guest lecturer at Sacramento State and UC Davis business schools. Mr. Crawford is an alumnus
of Harvard Business School's Private Equity & Venture Capital executive program and a
graduate of the National Venture Capital Association's Venture Capital Institute. He earned
a degree in accounting from Arizona State University and is a Certified Public Accountant
in California.
Ken Vaughn
Chief Technology Officer
Mr. Vaughn has over 25 years of experience in engineering, product development and strategic technology planning in a variety of industries. He has led engineering teams in the development of state-of-the-art products in the data communications, information systems, aerospace, industrial automation, telecommunications, and wireless industries. Mr. Vaughn has held leadership positions in both entrepreneurial growth companies and large global enterprises. His keen interest in renewable energy has led him to join Jadoo. Mr. Vaughn served as Vice President, Engineering and Network Operations for AirTouch Cellular (now part of Verizon Wireless). He also served as Executive Director of Strategic Technology at AirTouch Communications (acquired by Vodafone). He received a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas, Arlington.
Ken Pearson
Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Pearson has more than 30 years of experience in operations, technology development, and manufacturing management in high-tech companies. Mr. Pearson has spent the last 10 years developing and commercializing hydrogen and fuel cell technologies. Recently, Mr. Pearson has re-joined Jadoo Power to lead the company’s commercialization effort for its fuel cell product. During the previous 4 years at Trulite Inc., he established strategies to rapidly advance the technology to a product though his experience in fuel cell and hydrogen technology product development. Prior to that, Mr. Pearson was the COO of Jadoo Power Systems where he established fuel cell and hydrogen technology, products, strategies, and a team that allowed Jadoo Power to rapidly become a leader in the portable fuel cell industry. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from California State University, Sacramento.
Allison Fisher, Ph.D
Vice President of Fuel Development
Dr. Fisher has over 10 years experience in proton exchange membrane fuel cells, including the fabrication of novel 3D micro-fuel cell MEAs, fabrication and testing of MEAs and stacks for portable power systems (<30W), and fuel storage (9 issued patents, 4 pending). At Jadoo Power she established and manages the fuel development laboratory, which is focused on the synthesis and characterization of chemical hydride hydrogen storage and release materials and the demonstration of these materials in prototype solid chemical hydride fuel systems. Dr. Fisher has broad experience developing and running projects aimed at establishing new businesses, establishing and maintaining external collaborations involving basic and applied research, and product development. Prior to Jadoo Power, she was an R&D scientist at Motorola Labs, Sherwin-Williams, and Amoco Chemical Company. She has also taught undergraduate Organic Chemistry (lecture and laboratory). Dr. Fisher received a B.S. in Biology from Bucknell University, a Ph.D in Chemistry from the University of Colorado-Boulder, and was a National Institutes of Health Postdoctoral Fellow at The University of Chicago.
