Power for Medical Emergency, Rescue and Transport
Power for equipment that saves lives must be predictable, compact and last until
the job is done. The Portable Electrical Power Supply for Aeromedical Evacuations — also
known as our PEPSAE — is a Jadoo Power product originally developed for a partner.
This portable primary power unit delivers 100W of electricity to power six life
support devices and other electronic equipment on a rescue vehicle. The system attaches
to a transport stretcher so it can be easily moved from the field to the helicopter
without being tethered.
Existing equipment used in this project weighed 159 lbs and included multiple cables
each running from the helicopter to the various equipment.
The Jadoo Power PEPSAE system replaced the existing weight and excess cables with
one 25 lb power unit, 3 N-Stor 360 canisters of hydrogen fuel and 1 cable
reducing the weight by nearly 75%.
